Recounts and Poems about the Medieval Fayre.
On the 15th of May, 3C, 3A and 3S went to the Medieval Fayre at the Australian Catholic University.
We were met by two knights and were walked through the hallway in a procession.
We sat on the side of Queen Gwenivere’s throne.
The students introduced themselves to the Queen and then danced for her.
Then the year 3’s danced to Greensleeves and sang Scarborough Fair.
There were lots of stalls at the Fayre like food, dancing, sword fighting, fortune teller, singing and music.
We then walked back to school and got dressed back in our uniforms.
We then had lunch and playtime.
It was the best time I ever had.

On Monday, we walked to the ACU.
We walked through the hallway in a procession.
We met the other saints and the Fayre.
We walked out the back and saw Queen Gwenivere.
The actors were very good, they walked up in single file.
After that we got to eat the food.
Then the knights had a sword fight.
The boys had a sword fight too.
We had a great time.

On Monday the 15th of May, Year 3 went to the ACU for the Medieval Fayre.
First we were met by two knights who showed us the way to go. We walked in a precession to the Medieval Fayre.
We sat on the side of the throne, Queen Gwenivere was sitting on. The ACU people danced and sang, then year three danced to ‘Greensleeves’.
There were lots of stalls to go to. There was a fortune teller, food, sword fighting, dancing, singing, and music.
At the food stall I ate some chicken and a toffee apple. Both of them were yummy. Then I went to learn a song.
Soon it was time to go, so I went to line up and we came back to school.
IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER!

On Monday the fifteenth of May, we went to the Medieval Fayre.
First of all we were met by knights. We followed one of the knights and we got to the front and we had our photos taken.
We went to the back again then we were on the side of the throne. We met some travellers, and the students sang and danced for us.
Before that we sang Scarborough Fair and then we danced.
The people opened the fayre and I ate some chicken. I saw the people sword fighting.
After the sword fight, the other boys and I played. A few minutes later Mrs Abondo took some photos and we played some more.
Then we went to school. I had a good time.

On Monday the 15th of May, we went to the Medieval Fayre.
We saw two knights sword fighting. I fought the knight too.
Liam ran away with one of the swords.
Some people sung us a song.
They also had some food and it was very yummy.
Jared and I went to get a drink and it tasted like beer, but it was still good.
We then went to watch some more sword fighting. Liam’s sword got broken and the knight laughed and said that it would happen.

At the Medieval Fayre
We sat next to a chair
On the way
We thought of a great day
But it was right
And we met two knights
That led the way
To a great day
There were girls and boys
And lots of toys
These two knights
Had a sword fight
There were some entertainers and singers
And they had good fingers
There was food that was good and bad
Some people got mad
The queen sat on the throne
But didn’t know it was foam
People had a go of the chair
And on the table was a pear
So we had a great day
That’s all we can say
We had to go
From the great show

We were then rounded up by the ACU people and we had a photo of 3C, 3A and 3S altogether.
Then we walked more and when we were walking we saw the throne. There was a long blanket the colour purple and the queen was sitting on a throne. The University people came up to the queen and said their names. We were sitting on the grass on the side.
Then they did a dance and then we did our dance. Then it was the best part, we got to eat the food. Then we got to do anything.
There was a fortune teller, two knights to play with and the big table of food.
Then it was time to leave.
We walked back the same way that we did before, and came back to the classroom.
That was the best day out.

On Monday the 15th of May 2006, we went to the Medieval Fayre and the ACU.
We were met by two knights. We fought them later with our swords and shields.
I went as a knight, but it was hard to battle with my costume on, because it was made of cardboard.
It was fun having a sword fight with my friends. I won against one of the knights.
Before we fought the knights, we met the Queen and some people introduced themselves to the Queen.
Then we came back to school, it was great time.

At the fayre we saw a knight
who with another had a sword fight,
They made a great sound
and one fell to the ground ,
It was indeed a very good sight.
